

The levels are no longer sorted into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.However, it is still possible to install the game onto a softmodded original XBOX, although the leaderboards are inaccessible and the game does not save offline high scores. The game is no longer available for sale since the original XBOX Live service was shut down on April 15 th, 2010. The game sold for $19.99 at launch (this price was later reduced to $9.99 sometime after the release of the Xbox 360). In the summer of 2004, Marble Blast was announced as a title for the upcoming XBOX Live Arcade it was released the next spring, on May 10 th, 2005. GarageGames, however, was not producing console games at the time. This tech demo was unveiled at that year's Game Developers Conference. It was a custom version of Marble Blast, which featured bumpmapping, specular lighting, and translucent refraction, among other graphical improvements. The roots of the XBOX version of Marble Blast can be traced back to early 2003, when GarageGames produced a tech demo for NVIDIA. It also added several new features to the game, including improved graphics, online leaderboards, a scoring system, and Easter Eggs. The game contained a total of 94 levels, which included most of the levels from the home computer versions of Marble Blast Gold, as well as a few exclusive levels. The original XBOX edition of Marble Blast was released in 2005 for the XBOX Live Arcade.
